Zebra – Built for the Bite

Zebras are expert grazers, and their teeth reflect that perfectly. They have sharp incisors at the front of their mouths to bite and snip grass, while large molars at the back grind down the tough plant material. This combination allows them to chew efficiently and naturally keep their teeth clean through their high-fiber, abrasive diet. Their teeth are so strong and worn from grazing that they often show signs of use even in young zebras.
